Feb 11, 2010 - I was confused by the fact that this is the first time in a long time that they didn't take two years to shift into a new generation (2011, hear I come!). I already played through the Japanese version of Heart Gold, but I am still getting the English versions of HG/SS. It will be interesting to see if this new generation will be compatible with Generation IV because that means it'll be compatible with Generation III, too (Pal Park, anyone?).

Feb 12, 2010 - this is the 5th generation. as revealed by Corocoro magazine, 2 new monsters have been planned. they are Zorua and Zoroark (zoroark being the evolution of zorua) and will be the stars of the upcoming 13th movie. more new pokemon are schedualed to be previewed.
