Sep 24, 2009 - there is going 2B new age no matter what. Either the "elites" way of SLAVERY or OUR way of FREEDOM! either way - religion is going bye bye - cause it's all lies & bull 4 divide & conquer. the story of God is just 4 Love. god isnt needed f4 anything else or an explanation of things - that is what science is 4. both can easily co-exist. i don't see howTHAT is a debate. look at the evil controlling our world - that is what should be debated. the elite do believe in GOD - Satan! which 1 do u prefer?

Oct 24, 2009 - It's not difficult to make Hannity look stupid, indeed, he's more than capable of doing that himself, but Hitchens exposes the true depths of Hannity's ignorance. The zealots often use the "cant get something out of nothing" strawman. If that's the case, who created the creator? And if they say (and they do) that god has always been, then the same could be said of the universe. Why be born again when you can just grow up? Join "The FreeThinkers" on facebook and help stop this madness.

Nov 3, 2009 - I find it appalling when people bring up this argument that religion has done so much good in terms of offering aid to other people. Are they then suggesting that these christians who sacrifice for the good of others would not do so if they weren't christian? Are you then helping other people in order to earn brownie points with your god rather than just because it's the right thing to do? You can learn to be compassionate and giving without learning a religion.

Archigearour Says:

Nov 4, 2009 - I love Hitches' brutality in his arguments. It's not that atheists want to be rude, but we HAVE to be. When gentle shaking does not wake a slumber, you need a good tight slap across the face. Even when it doesn't work, it'll make you feel a hell lot better.

nathanomgnathan Says:

Nov 9, 2009 - Hitchens has no regrets, i love every minute of it.

goomba008 Says:

Nov 9, 2009 - Damned straight. I feel like this atheist awakening that is happening parallels this other phenomenon where scientists are much more comfortable in the spotlight talking science with people. The only way the religious freaks still get attention is that they take the initiative and are loudmouthed. That is what we need to do. To quote New Scientist editor Alan Anderson: "What's happening in science is the most interesting thing in the world, and if you don't agree with me just fuck off".

RogerwilcoFoxtrot Says:

Nov 10, 2009 - Hey Hannity, here's the problem I'm seeing. What created your petty and childish god, if you insist that it created existence? I don't see the necessity with the extra step; if anything it seems redundant and thus detracts from your argument's credibility.

ibro246 Says:

Nov 23, 2009 - where did god come from? we, atheists, are going to solve the problem with big bang but religion will never answer that question:)

Exondriak Says:

Nov 26, 2009 - 'You believe that energy creates itself." Well...Someone hasn't taken a college level astronomy course. If not, don't assume you know what you're talking about.

a155099 Says:

Nov 29, 2009 - just looking at hannity pisses me off

SEF6519 Says:

Nov 29, 2009 - "takes a great leap of faith the believe that everything came from nothing" WHY DOESN'T ANYONE GET THE FACT THAT THEIR RELIGION SAYS THIS SHIT?! their religion says god poofed everything in to existance....in 6 days....BY SPEAKING IT! thats sounds even more ridiculous than saying everything came from nothing. thats another thing, being told what i "must have faith in", because i'm an athiest. FUCK YOU HANNITY!!

ragingdevi Says:

Dec 5, 2009 - I also noticed they tend to forget about things like the crusades, the Spanish Inquisition and the indulgences that provoked Martin Luther to write the 95 theses.

DKallyFWS Says:

Dec 7, 2009 - you athiest and your "logical thinking" heres a thought....... give up do your thing and we will do ours get over it

jbarks10 Says:

Dec 9, 2009 - "not with God obviously, that would be absurd"...... Awesome quote from The Hitch! He nailed Hannity on that ridiculously stupid question.

jbarks10 Says:

Dec 9, 2009 - There is no good that has been done by religion that secular organisations cannot or have not done. Hannity had no answer to that

SeekTheTruth7890 Says:

Dec 31, 2009 - I love how Hannity truly thinks that Religion is the only thing that has done good. Yes, it is true that Religion has done great things, but it is also responsible for countless wars and genocide throughout history. Non-religious and atheist secular organizations do not, and never had a bad side. They don't have any agenda, the only agenda they have is to do good. Also, Religious people do good because they are threatened by the concept of heaven and hell. Atheists do good because it's right.

z3rsk1 Says:

Jan 20, 2010 - I can't take it anymore. Poor Hitchens - he has to deal with the same crap in every debate.

BamaChris Says:

Feb 7, 2010 - Hannity is embarrassingly pathetic and stupid here. He apparently doesn't even understand the difference between whether religion is true or not, and charitable work.

trubornagain Says:

Feb 9, 2010 - It is ludicrous to assume that these atheists like harris, hitchens, and dawkins are somehow intelligent, or bright by the way they put words together. theirs are not sophisticated books intellectually. All their unsupported arguments are in most part angry, bitter diatribes against religion. And one who takes their words as gospel is merely relating to their anger and bitterness without the required objectiveness of evaluating an argument, nor requiring any burden of proof on their stance.

pillowbugg Says:

Feb 11, 2010 - Christians!!! Ask your god who made him and get back to us. Until then, you fail on an epic proportion!

LeifEiriksson Says:

Feb 14, 2010 - I have a feeling Hannity cut out the parts where Hitchens gave him a beatdown. Anyway, to address Hannity's point, it's irrelevant to address time before the Big Bang because time didn't exist before it. There could not have been any creator to create it if time hadn't existed before it came into existence.

britzman1 Says:

Feb 17, 2010 - that was beautiful. i love that hannity could not argue against one single fucking point that hitchens made

SirGriefALot Says:

Feb 19, 2010 - These religious people always try to use the same argument against atheists, 'something can't come from nothing'. But if you say that you agree with them on that point and ask where god came from. Then all of a sudden they have to make excuses as to why god doesn't have to obey the same laws as everything else in the universe.

inventiveinsanity Says:

Feb 24, 2010 - Actually, science has already proved that something CAN come from nothing. :P I hate the argument they ALWAYS use when they have nothing left: "Well, how come you don't just go out and murder, and rape and steal. You have no god, so you think you can do whatever you want." I love it when they say, "how could all this happen by accident?!" When Evolutionary theory says it wasn't an accident ;p

BeNNzuFG Says:

Feb 25, 2010 - Believing that EVERYTHING must have a beginning and an end is just silly thinking, if you look into science. Even in our limited world, we have infinite occasions, such as the (impossibility of) measurement of electrons, which have and will invinitely move randomly in a certain located area. Also, think about the fact that math - the language of science - has no problem with calculating in infinite numbers. The creator theory is a common sense theory that doesn't work in quantum mechanics.
